Our Client is in urgent need of a Fire and Safety Specialist.
• Qualification: Degree in Fire and Safety Engineering or equivalent
• Age:27 -40 yrs
• Chartered Engineer status preferred
• 5 - 10 yrs of experience in fire and safety engineering design
Responsibilities include:
• Undertake design reviews to ensure components or systems are safe and satisfy all the relevant codes and standards.
• Undertake verification activities at both design and in operation
• Maintain good communications with clients and designers
• Undertake Fire and Safety Engineering design appraisal activities for new construction
• Participate in HAZID / HAZOP studies
• Carry out various safety studies (TRIA, EERA, ESSA, FERA, etc.)
• Carry out or participate in QRA activities
• Manager and carry out and participate in risk management activities
• Assist clients in general Health, Safety and Environmental requirements
• Supervise engineers and technical assistants
Compensation: USD 4000 - 5000 (gross), will commensurate with job knowledge and experience.
Experience in active/passive fire protection systems, fire and gas, escape and evacuation and LSA i.e. systems side of things is a MUST
Desired profile:
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Adaptable and practical, able to develop solutions not just identify problems
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and is confident in making decisions under pressure
• Computer literate.
SOME WORKING EXPERIENCE WITH THIRD PARTY INSPECTION AGENCIES, OR CONSULTING ENGINEERING COMPANIES, PREFERABLY IN GULF COUNTRIES IS A MUST.
